“My Donor My Hope”
The Mthunzi Foundation is an NGO dedicated to advocating for teenage girls who face challenges related to early pregnancy while still in school. These young mothers are often not permitted to continue their education, confronting the harsh realities of a future limited by a lack of education.
Recognizing education as the cornerstone of success, the Mthunzi Foundation (MF) observes the alarming deprivation of educational rights experienced by these young women. An educated girl is empowered to foster personal growth and seize opportunities, while a lack of education restricts their potential for a brighter future.
As a newly established non-governmental organization (NGO), the Mthunzi Foundation is committed to addressing the needs of teenage girls by actively seeking support from donors, sponsors, prospective partners, and well-wishers. Our initiative aims to ensure that teenage mothers have guaranteed access to quality education and skills training provided by the Mthunzi Foundation.
Backpack
Quantity Needed: 20
Our organization serves those in various need. At this point we wish to get backpacks for a few school children who holds books in the hand and many times end up misplacing them, then return to school with nothing to write on or look into in the case of textbook. This particular group of children do not have parents/guardians who can afford a schoolbag and they are in public schools where education is free.
Water filter
Quantity Needed: 20
Tropical Cyclone Maila struck the Solomon Islands at Category 5 intensity in early April 2026, leaving Western and Choiseul Provinces under a State of Disaster. Storm surges and flooding swept away homes, destroyed food gardens across multiple wards, and damaged infrastructure throughout communities already difficult to reach by sea. With WASH systems damaged across affected areas and remote communities still cut off by dangerous swells, there is significant risk of waterborne disease outbreaks. The HADR Institute is seeking funds to procure water filters for distribution to affected households through its partner, the Development Services Exchange (DSE), the NDMO-appointed coordination body on the ground in Solomon Islands. Water filters provide an immediate, community-level solution that requires no infrastructure, no fuel, and no technical support to operate. As formal WASH rehabilitation will take months, filters represent one of the most cost-effective interventions available right now to prevent a secondary health crisis from compounding an already severe disaster.

We are dedicated to supporting teenage girls facing the challenges of early pregnancy while still in school. Many of these young mothers are unable to continue their education, leaving them to face a future limited by lost opportunities. At Mthunzi Foundation, we believe education is the foundation for a better life. We see firsthand how these girls are being denied their right to learn, grow and build a future. Education empowers young women with confidence, independence and opportunity, while the absence of it can hold them back for life.
Baby carrier
Quantity Needed: 10
The Mthunzi Foundation supports teenage girls who fall pregnant while still in school and are at risk of missing out on their education. Many of these young mothers are unable to return to the classroom, limiting their chances of building a secure and independent future. At Mthunzi Foundation, we believe education changes everything. When a girl can continue learning, she gains confidence, independence and the opportunity to create a better life for herself and her child. Without that support, her future becomes much more uncertain. A simple baby carrier can make a real difference. It allows young mothers to safely carry their babies while attending school or training, giving them a better chance to continue their education and work towards a brighter future.
