In Gamo-Gofa Zone, recent landslides triggered by heavy rainfall have devastated entire communities. Families have lost their homes, loved ones and livelihoods. Thousands of people are now displaced, with no access to adequate food, clean water, shelter or medical care. Many are sleeping in unsafe conditions, trying to survive with very little. Young children are among the most vulnerable, including those under five. Mothers are displaced with their babies, facing extremely difficult and uncertain conditions. Schools and community spaces have been destroyed, removing vital support systems for families. Farmland has been damaged, crops have been lost and livestock have died, leaving families without income or food sources. The impact is both immediate and long-term, with many facing ongoing food insecurity and hardship. Urgent support is needed to provide essential items such as food, clean water, shelter materials and basic supplies. Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS) is requesting 100 toddler bed linen sets (bed sheet and blanket) for homeless children living in a shelter home in Khairpur, Sindh, Pakistan. These children come from highly vulnerable backgrounds and currently lack basic bedding. Providing proper bed sheets and blankets will help ensure warmth, hygiene, dignity, and safer sleeping conditions, particularly during colder weather.
