Many deaf and vulnerable young people in Tanzania lack access to accurate sexual and reproductive health information due to communication barriers. This exposes them to abuse, early pregnancy, HIV/STIs, and other serious risks.
Through this appeal, we are raising funds to support an unfunded Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) program delivered in Tanzanian Sign Language (TSL). The program equips deaf adolescents with essential knowledge on health, safety, rights, and life skills.
Your support will help train facilitators, develop accessible materials, and reach young people who are often left behind.
Your donation can protect lives and empower a safer future.

Centre for Disability and Elderly Affairs (CDEA) is working to improve access to quality education for marginalised and out-of-school children in remote and underserved communities. Our projects focus on community mobilisation, teacher support and learning activities, but we currently lack a dedicated camera to document our progress. A camera will allow us to capture important moments such as classroom sessions, teacher training workshops, community meetings and engagement activities, as well as student participation and success stories. These visual records are essential for reporting progress, communicating with donors, advocating for education, and strengthening our monitoring and evaluation. We are requesting a camera to support our education projects, which will directly benefit 100 students with disabilities. With your support, CDEA will be able to better showcase positive change, improve transparency and accountability, and reach more marginalised children. Together, we can capture the impact of this work and help create a brighter future for these students.

Education projects in remote and underserved communities require strong documentation to demonstrate impact, ensure accountability, and share learning. This project aims to improve access to quality education for marginalized and out-of-school children through community mobilization, teacher support, and learning activities. However, the project currently lacks a dedicated camera to document field activities. A camera will enable the team to capture photographs of classroom sessions, community meetings, training workshops, and student participation. These visual records will support progress reporting, donor communication, and advocacy for education. Photographs also help highlight success stories and motivate communities by showcasing positive change. In addition, proper visual documentation strengthens monitoring and evaluation by providing evidence of project implementation and improvements in learning environments. Therefore, procuring a camera is essential for effective documentation, transparency, and communication of the project’s outcomes and impact
Bluetooth speaker

In this remote community, there is no access to radio, television or reliable internet. Information that many of us take for granted simply does not reach people here. A portable Bluetooth speaker allows community workers to play pre-loaded audio messages during group gatherings, ensuring important information can be shared with everyone at once. The speaker is used to deliver health messages, safety updates, education content and community announcements. It is a simple but powerful tool that helps connect people, support learning and make sure no one is left out because of where they live.

We are working with young people in rural communities in Mbita, Kenya who are eager to learn photography and videography as tools for storytelling, advocacy, and livelihood creation. Many of these youths have passion and creativity but lack access to basic equipment. To train 20 youths, we require two cameras that will be shared during hands-on practical sessions. These cameras will enable the youths to learn visual documentation, capture community stories, and build skills that can lead to income generation and
