In a government secondary school in Niger State, hundreds of students go through their entire education without ever touching a computer. While the world moves forward digitally, these young people are left behind—not because they lack ability, but because they lack access. Without computers, internet connectivity, or trained ICT teachers, students graduate without the basic digital skills now required for exams, higher education, and future employment. This project will establish one fully functional ICT laboratory in a public secondary school, giving students their first real opportunity to learn and practice essential digital skills. The lab will be equipped with computers, basic accessories, educational software, and reliable internet access. Teachers will also receive ICT training to ensure the lab is used effectively and sustainably. With this support, students will learn basic computing, typing, online research, and foundational digital literacy. These skills will not only improve academic performance but also build confidence and open doors to future opportunities. Each year, an estimated 300 students will benefit directly from this ICT lab. This project represents a single, clearly defined step toward digital inclusion. By transforming one school at a time, we can create visible, measurable impact and offer students the chance to participate fully in today’s digital world.
