Across underserved communities in Nigeria and Uganda, millions of children and young people grow up without consistent access to education, books, digital tools, or safe learning spaces. Poverty, displacement, insecurity, and weak infrastructure often mean that school is irregular—or entirely out of reach. Yet these communities are rich in potential: curious children and resilient youths who only need access and opportunity to thrive. Giddy2School exists to bridge this gap. Founded to reduce school dropouts and expand access to quality learning, Giddy2School works with children, youths, and community educators to create inclusive pathways To sustain and scale our work, Giddy2School relies on goodwill donations and in-kind support that directly power learning on the ground. Through Recovere, we are seeking support for the following priority needs: 1. 300 Books for Our Literacy Clubs Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, and age-appropriate learning materials These books will support Giddy2School Literacy Clubs across Nigeria and Uganda, nurturing reading culture, imagination, and critical thinking. 2. 50 Computers, 100 Tablets & Digital Learning Devices Laptops, MacBooks, desktop computers, and tablets for learning Tablets are especially valuable for younger learners and low-literacy environments, enabling interactive learning, digital reading, and AI-assisted education in a simple, user-friendly format. 3. 1-Movable IT Hub / Community Learning Container A mobile IT hub or container that can function as a pop-up digital learning and training center. This will allow us to take technology-enabled education directly into slums, informal settlements, and hard-to-reach communities. 4. Connectivity & Operational Support A Starlink device to ensure reliable internet access in low-connectivity areas. Registered in 2012 under Tanzanian law, THRDC has grown from 14 founding organizations to over 300 member organizations across Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. More than 70% of its members joined due to insufficient protection in their human rights work, highlighting the urgent need for THRDC’s interventions. THRDC works to ensure HRDs can operate safely and effectively through protection and security management, emergency support, legal aid, advocacy, capacity building, and public engagement. Its work aligns with the **1998 UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders and contributes to the expansion of civic space in Tanzania. Vision: A free and secure working environment for Human Rights Defenders in Tanzania. Mission: To maximize the protection, respect, and recognition of HRDs through protection services, capacity building, and advocacy. Many deaf and vulnerable young people in Tanzania lack access to accurate sexual and reproductive health information due to communication barriers. This exposes them to abuse, early pregnancy, HIV/STIs, and other serious risks. Through this appeal, we are raising funds to support an unfunded Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) program delivered in Tanzanian Sign Language (TSL). The program equips deaf adolescents with essential knowledge on health, safety, rights, and life skills.
